Production terms

Last updated October 2, 2026. These are the terms you accept at checkout.

1. Quotations

Automatic quotes are generated from the geometry of the file you upload and are valid for 30 days. We review every file before production. If manufacturing the part as supplied would cost materially more than quoted — for example it exceeds our build envelope, requires sectioning, or has features that cannot be produced reliably — we will contact you with the reason and a revised price before any work begins and before any charge is taken.

2. Tolerances and process limits

Parts are produced by fused deposition modelling. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, dimensional tolerance is ±0.3 mm or ±0.3% of the nominal dimension, whichever is greater. Layer lines, support witness marks on supported surfaces, and minor colour variation between filament batches are normal characteristics of the process and are not defects.

If a specific dimension or feature is critical, you must identify it in writing before production. We will then either hold it, machine it as a secondary operation, or tell you the process cannot achieve it.

3. Lead times

Lead times are stated in business days and run from design sign-off and cleared payment (or an accepted invoice), not from the date of upload. If we raise a question about your part, the clock pauses until you answer. We will tell you as soon as we know if a date is at risk. Lead times are commercially reasonable estimates and not guarantees, except where we have agreed a firm date in writing.

4. Payment

Orders are paid by credit or debit card in full at the time of ordering. Card details are entered on our payment provider's secure form and are never stored by us. HST is added where applicable. All prices are in Canadian dollars. We do not offer credit terms, e-transfer or purchase-order billing.

5. Changes and cancellation

You may cancel or change an order at no cost at any point before production begins. Once production has started, you are responsible for material and machine time already consumed; we will tell you what that amounts to before acting on any change. Completed custom parts are not returnable for convenience, as they have no resale value.

6. Intellectual property

You retain all rights in your designs. You confirm that you have the legal right to have the parts you order manufactured, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's intellectual property. We retain ownership of the print profiles, orientation strategies and fixtures we develop to make your part, and will not use them to produce parts for anyone else.

We will not knowingly manufacture functional firearm components, parts intended to defeat safety systems, or anything unlawful, and we may decline any order at our discretion.

7. Warranty and liability

We warrant that parts will conform to your supplied geometry within the tolerances in section 2 and will be free from manufacturing defects. Report any problem within 30 days of delivery and we will replace the affected pieces at our cost, or refund them, at our option.

We do not warrant that a part is fit for any particular purpose you have not told us about. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, downtime or the cost of a delayed product launch. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Shipping and risk

Risk passes on delivery to the carrier, but in practice: if a shipment is lost or damaged in transit, tell us and we will remake it and deal with the carrier ourselves. Duties and import taxes on shipments outside Canada are the recipient's responsibility.

9. Confidentiality

We treat your files and project details as confidential and handle them as described in our privacy notice. We are happy to enter into your own non-disclosure agreement before you send anything.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it.

These terms are written in plain language and in good faith, but they are not legal advice. Have your own counsel review them before you rely on them commercially.
